The development of 2a Church Square will enable Taunton Vineyard to develop a unique compassion and community centre in the heart of Taunton. A place open to all, which is able to meet many needs or to signpost people to other agencies inTaunton.

The proposal provides a high quality strategic development and supporting infrastructure which forms an important contemporary landmark building alongside a major pedestrian route, providing an attractive and valuable contribution to the Taunton Town Centre area as a whole.

The proposal sympathetically opens up the historic courtyard and archways which formed part of the coach house yard area, enabling public access to a heritage asset.
